About the Project

The web portal was developed in the frame of the USAID Civic Education Program.

USAID Civic Education Program is implemented by PH International with the financial support from the United States Agency for International Development. The program is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The goal of the USAID Civic Education program is to raise the youth with high civic consciousness and involve them in civic processes. The program aims to implement technology in the process of teaching and learning civic education, develop democratic culture at schools and support partnerships between private sector and schools.

USAID Civic Education Program is implemented in 650 schools across Georgia. Students between VII-XII grades, teachers and representatives of school administration are involved in the program.

The partners of the program are: 11 regional organizations throughout Georgia, Civic Education Teachers Forum, Guivi Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi, Geolab and the American organization "Resonance".

The civicsonline.ge web-portal, developed within the framework of the USAID Civic Education Program, encompasses four distinct websites: ecivics.ge, civicscontest.ge, moodle.ecivics.ge, and civicstech.ge. Through these websites, individuals within the school community are provided with the opportunity to incorporate digital technologies into the teaching and learning of civic education.
